Massive Adamantine Green A.K.A. Ilaeth

Final size: 24.5 meters in length with a wingspan of 40.7 meters. TEMPER:	Before you stands the most powerful green dragon on Pern. Well maybe not, but don't tell that to Ilaeth! The very posture of this young green dragon is an epitome of confidence, an innocent sensuality, and a righteous indignation that permeates throughout the grass green of her hide. Her very step strikes fear into the hearts of evildoers and evil Thread too, would that it had a heart. A dark blackish-green color curls back over the eye ridges and head knobs of this fierce beast, spreading out over the neck ridges and wing sails like a thick luxurious mass of hair. The frame is not just sturdy and large, but shows all the signs of becoming a gorgeous, curvaceous, green babe when she grows up. From the mossy shades that range from peridot accents to deeper casts of emerald along her under belly, with a grassy green tone being predominate over all the expanse of her massive adamantine hide, she seems a study in contrast - raw, brutal strength and power, yet still, a feminine, free spirited seductress all in one.

General: Ilaeth is always working to better herself. She doesn't fly just to enjoy the flight, though she does enjoy it, but to push herself; to be able to do just a little more, fly a bit farther, a bit higher. She will find any injury or weakness as a personal insult. How dare her shoulder be sore! She has Thread to fight! You'll need to keep watch on her that she doesn't over due it, because she'll want to be the best for you. If there is ever a disagreement, Ilaeth is quick to defend the one she thinks is right, even if it's someone she doesn't like overly much in the first place. She's a bit of a free spirit, and will encourage you to be free of inhibition--like her!

Weyrling: On most occasions, Ilaeth is every Weyrlingmasters dream. Quick to understand the lesson, she’s eager to learn and willing to try. She accepts that she must wait to do this or that, but studies so she is ready when the time comes. However, when she does get rattled, her temper gets the better of her, then look out. Interacting with her other weyrlings she will expect the best of them as of herself and will often be frustrated when that doesn't happen, especially by Araneidth and his rider, << That is not the way it is supposed to be done! >> She'll tell you, outraged.

Flights: When proddy Ilaeth will tend to be a bit coy, almost innocent seeming, to start with--but watch out. When the moment nears, and it's time to fly, she is power and grace all rolled into one. She will taunt and tease, sure, but tend towards the direct approach, over tricks. Why be sneaky, when they can revel in her prowess?

Fall: Ilaeth will want to be the first to meet the Fall. You'll need to appeal to her reason to keep her from rushing ahead of her wing, but she will listen to reason, when it's offered. Quick to assess the situation, or changes as they occur, she is ready to face the challenge side by side with her wingmates, but with her own, independent, flare.
